We're looking for a full time Pipefitter Specialist.
This position pays $30.06 per hour!
As the Pipefitter, here’s the work you’ll do:
• Performs duties involving installation, maintenance and repair of all conduit transporting fluids, including air, water, steam, gas pipe systems and plumbing facilities.
• Works from blueprints, drawings, written and verbal orders; repairs pipes; installs, bends, cuts and threads pipe as necessary; cuts holes in wall or floors with an axe, saw or drill; threads pipe with stock and dies; operates a pipe cutting machine, cutting pipe to desired length; bends pipe by hand or machine; assembles pipe with couplings and fastens to hangers; tests high pressure lines with hydrostatic pressure tests. Installs and repairs faucets and plumbing fixtures such as commodes and sinks, replacing broken or worn out parts; opens clogged drains; lays and installs water lines including cut-in to main lines.
• Performs any of the duties usually performed by craft persons in other classifications in the bargaining unit represented at this Plant by Local 100 of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry.
• Follows training when work requires collecting, transporting, storing, treating, disposing and/or otherwise handling of hazardous waste and its related documentation.
• Maintains segregation of contaminated/hazardous waste used in area of responsibility in accordance with prescribed procedures. Receives training as outlined in Company's Hazardous Waste Training Program.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
• Reads and understands blueprints, drawings, written and verbal orders to execute assignments.
• Cleans up work area after completion of job tasks.
• Ability to install, maintain and repair pipefitter related job assignments.
• Operators pipe cutting equipment and tools in performance of job.
• Ability to inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipe lines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
And if you have these qualifications:
• Completion of training program or equivalent
• 3-4 years work experience at journey level.
