As a Director of Military Programs here's the work you'll do:
The Director of Military Programs (Army or Navy) is responsible for growing Mason & Hanger's architect and engineering revenue and profitability through maximizing the utilization of existing services and through identification and capture of new services and contracts associated with DOD agencies CONUS and OCONUS. This also includes selling and development efforts with USACE Districts, USAF San Antonio, Navy Engineering Commands, and Programs that support various military installations.
This role can be in our San Antonio, TX office or remote.
Responsibilities
- Own and sustain executive-level relationships across customer organizations, engaging primarily at the Chief of Engineering and Commander levels to drive strategic growth, sales performance, and help drive revenue objectives. 30%
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of DOD agency goals, priorities, and the 3-year MILCON outlook to inform market strategy and pursuit planning. 30%
- Develop and sustain strategic relationships with design partners and general contractors to support design and design-build pursuits and drive revenue growth. 30%
- Partner with Military Market Director and Program Managers to help determine the proposal strategy and support proposal preparation for all work bid to customers. Support and strategize M&H activities in key SAME Posts. 10%
KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Long cycle sales experience that carried a sales goal of at least $15 Million/year in services.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to influence and build relationships.
- Ability to clearly and concisely convey technical, financial, and contractual information, to all levels of the organization, internally and externally, orally, via written word and through presentations.
- Solid overall knowledge of the DOD budgeting and programming process for MILCON, SRM and munitions programming. Candidate shall have the ability to close business in the areas of Engineering, Construction, and Maintenance.
- Candidate shall have the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast pace environment, and the ability to work as an individual contributor in a team environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in a related field or equivalent experience. Required
- Degree from a U.S. service academy Preferred
- 10+ years Progressive technical sales/Business Development experience Required
- Government Experience as a civilian or DOD Officer Preferred
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $154,160 to $231,240 . This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements)
