Job Summary

The Manager, Warehousing Assets is responsible for management and accountability of inventory in storage locations, maintaining ATF, Homeland Security and DOD compliance, and coordinating activities of workers assigned to the Warehousing & Assets Department to ensure complete accountability of the receipt, storage and retrieval of explosives, Government Furnished Material and Company Furnished material.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for maintaining an accurate inventory of all materials through internal audits and the security of buildings assigned to including lock and key security control for storage igloos and warehouses, utilization of storage space, proper storage of materials and housekeeping in compliance with all regulatory authority. 
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in one or more of the following: receiving, storing, warehousing, issuing, outloading, safe guarding of explosive and inert materials, coordinating material flow to and from operating lines, and scheduling truck transportation throughout the plant area, in accordance with all safety standards. 
  • Determines approved shipment routings, establishes shipping dates and coordinates shipping schedule; expediting shipments in a professional manner both in and out of the plant, producing efficient timely delivery of shipments using knowledge pertaining to carrier operations and procedures. 
  • Daily job instructions for movement of material to employees and instructs employees with respect to proper job performance. Recommends changes in personnel, equipment and/or conditions when considered appropriate for more efficient operations. 
  • Provides technical support to personnel in coding, preparation and audit of shipping orders, shipping documents, government and commercial bills of lading as interpreted from DOT, and ICC regulations. These employees include clerical employees and Car and Truck Inspectors. Also determines correct rates, freight classifications, equipment required, and protective service dictated for sensitive and/or classified items. 15%
  • Directs dunnage activities including maintaining inventory of lumber, fabrication of dunnage and movement of material. 

KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Regularly exercises initiative, independent judgment and discretion in the performance of duties
  • Proficiency in inventory control and warehouse management and auditing
  • Working knowledge of ATF Federal Explosive laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of Safety and Security Regulations with certifications, DOT 49 CFR 172.104, IATA DGRI.5.0.3
  • Demonstrated supervisory and communication skills
  • Skilled in use of Microsoft Office Suite and SAP

Minimum Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent Preferred
  • 5+ years experience in material and logistics management in manufacturing environment in a manager capacity Required

Compensation and Benefits

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is $76,640 - $114,960. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
