We’re looking for a Safety Intern to join our American Ordnance team located in Middletown, IA. This internship provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, focusing on workplace safety compliance, hazard identification, training support, and continuous improvement initiatives. The intern will gain practical exposure to safety programs aligned with regulatory standards such as those established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
As the Safety Intern, here’s the work you’ll do:
- Assist in conducting safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments on the manufacturing floor.
- Support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Participate in updating safety procedures, policies, and job safety analyses (JSAs).
- Analyze safety data and prepare reports with recommendations.
- Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement activities.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $22.00 - $ 24.00.
