As the Quality Inspection Supervisor III here’s the work you’ll do:
- Provides technical and administrative support to Quality staff, practices and promotes safety. Assures Ammunition Data Card (ADC) and quality records meet all customer requirements.
- Supports all aspects of the Quality function, coordinates and manages inspection staff.
- Performs statistical analysis as directed by the QE.
- Assists development and delivery of Quality training materials.
- Trains personnel in quality practices and procedures, including SPC, QWI's, tagging, use of inspection equipment, and other quality related tasks.
- Supports gage studies, non-conforming material disposition, problem solving methods and processes.
- Leads process improvement, data processing, CAPA, and manages inspection staffing.
- Supports corrective action responses, assists in implementation of corrective actions.
- Collects, formats, and provides data to QE in support of customer data requirements.
- Develops and executes qualification plans, FAAT plans and reports.
- Assures correct documents, procedures, equipment and tools are available at point of use.
- Collects and processes data for Quality metrics.
- Communicates quality issues to the QE.
- Supports supplier quality as needed.
- Supports Quality Planning activities such as FMEA, Process maps, Control Plans, and efficient data collection methods.
- Supports AIE/AAIE test, gage R&R studies, for AO ammunition items.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawings and technical procedures. Ability to input, format, and process data. Assist in writing reports and procedures. Ability to effectively gather and process information and support responses to questions from managers and customers.
- Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as Statistical Process control (SPC), basic data analysis, histograms, correlation techniques, sampling, and statistcal analysis.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and apply a variety of technical instructions in text, diagram, or mathematical form, and deal with process input and output variables.
- Must have knowledge and understanding of the principles, practices and procedures of ISO Quality Systems and continuous improvement tools such as Process Maps, SPC, FMEA, and Control Plans.
And if you have these qualifications:
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
- Associate’s Degree (AA) In technical studies Preferred.
- 2+ years experience Preferred.
- Must possess a valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, which includes the gold or black star in the upper corner, indicating it is federally compliant OR Current Passport.
- A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate with team members is essential for contributing to a cohesive work environment.
- Successful completion of a background screening process is mandated for all candidates.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $61,680 - $92,520 annually. Please note that this range is not a guarantee of compensation; final offer amounts may vary based on experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on the date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
