As the Material Checker here’s the work you’ll do:
- Compares information on requisitions, invoices, and shipping notices to materials received or issued to meticulously verify the accuracy of each order. Your attention to detail will ensure that discrepancies are identified and addressed swiftly.
- Compiles and maintains an organized inventory of materials received, stocked, and issued, thereby facilitating smooth operational workflows and supporting supply chain efficiency.
- Conducts thorough inspections of material received, making informed decisions to accept or reject items based on quality and compliance standards. Your judgment will play a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence.
- Marks identifying information on materials to ensure traceability and facilitate inventory tracking—documentation is key in our operational success.
- Maintains familiarity with, observes, and trains others on safety, health, and environmental requirements, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
- Assures a commitment to the continuous improvement of systems and processes under your control, meeting customer needs both internally and externally through proactive engagement.
- Records all data associated with inventory transactions through the use of manual or automated data collection devices, ensuring accuracy and reliability in our reporting.
- Accurately and legibly records part numbers, quantities, cost codes, and other necessary data elements to process inventory transactions, enhancing operational transparency.
- Exhibits sufficient communication skills and judgment to interact with a wide range of customers throughout the organization, fostering collaboration and a shared commitment to excellence.

And if you have these qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
• Must possess a valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, which includes the gold or black star in the upper corner, indicating it is federally compliant.
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $28.91/HR. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements)
