As the Fringe Analyst, here is the work you'll do:
- Operate and optimize the use of SAP and Microsoft Office tools, alongside specialized internal applications including WinShuttle, Crystal Reports, SharePoint, WebToolBox, and ServiceNow, to generate accurate payroll and union contribution reports. Expert-level proficiency with Excel, involving complex tables, pivot tables, formulas, and data presentation techniques, will be essential for successful performance in this role.
- Develop, maintain, and validate union rate schedules and fringe benefit packages within SAP, ensuring exactness in reporting to both local and national union fund offices. This includes coordinating with Accounts Payable on vendor creation and working alongside field accounting managers to address and reconcile payroll discrepancies, including reprocessing where necessary. The role also encompasses management and reporting duties for international union funds.
- Reconcile and process monthly fringe benefits submissions for field union craft employees, overseeing check requests and meeting stringent monthly deadlines for union report submissions and payments. Responsibilities include managing missing hour reports and ensuring timely processing to avoid penalties.
- Investigate and resolve union discrepancies and audits, including liquidated damages, employer contribution rates, and fund submission variances. Collaborate closely with labor relations teams to discuss audit outcomes and facilitate resolution communications.
- Adhere strictly to departmental procedures and compliance standards, coordinating with Corporate Accounting to uphold transactional integrity across field accounting functions. Maintain fringe benefit files and records in alignment with D&Z’s retention policies and audit protocols, escalating issues and communicating outcomes to the Manager of Union Fringes. Support additional tasks as assigned by management.

- Comprehensive understanding of payroll and accounts payable transaction workflows pertinent to union contributions, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the process.
- Exceptional analytical skills combined with a sharp attention to detail, enabling effective problem-solving and resolution of complex financial discrepancies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, ensuring timely completion and follow-up of all assignments.
- Strong communication capabilities, both written and verbal, to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders including business unit leaders and union representatives.
- Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), SharePoint, and corporate reporting tools like WinShuttle and WebToolBox, enabling efficient data management and reporting.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $52,160 - $78,240. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
