Job Summary

We’re looking for a Fringe Analyst to join our team in Lancaster, PA. The Fringe Analyst will validate submissions to national union fund offices and ensure accurate billing and employer contribution rates; manage union fringe benefits for craft employees; setting up funds in SAP; Audit union funds and research discrepancies; communicating with third parties to provide detailed supporting documentation to reduce the financial risk or penalties. 

Responsibilities

Use SAP, Microsoft Office, and internal corporate applications such as WinShuttle, Crystal Reporting, SharePoint, WebToolBox reporting, ServiceNow and others as required. Use of Syncplicity as required, as well as enhanced SAP access to payroll reports. Advanced skills in Excel may be required, including tables, pivot tables, formulas, sorts, and presentation of data.

Responsible for creating union rate and fringe benefit packages in SAP. Ensure and validate accurate processing and reporting to local and national fund offices. Coordinate with Accounts Payable to create new vendors. Coordinate with field accounting managers on rate sheet discrepancies, and reprocessing of payrolls as required. Manage international union funds and associated reporting.

Responsible for reconciling and processing monthly fringe benefits for field union craft employees to respective fund offices. Process check requests. Submit monthly fringe reports and payments to individual unions by required due dates. Process missing hours reports.

Research and resolve union discrepancies/ audits for liquidated damages, reporting hours, employer contribution rates, national versus local fund submissions. Work with labor relations on audit and discrepancy findings and communication of resolutions.

Follows department specific procedures related to these functions. Interfaces with Corporate Accounting to ensure control and integrity of transactional field accounting and administrative processes. Ensures fringe files and records are maintained according to D&Z retention control and audit procedures. Escalate and communicate issues to Manager, Union Fringes. Other duties as assigned by Manager, Union Fringes.

 

KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Knowledge and the ability to understand the flow of transactions within the payroll and account payable process as it relates to union submissions.

Analytical and detail-oriented with an ability to problem solve.

Proven ability to multi-task in a high volume, deadline driven environment, complete task in a timely manner, and follow-up on resolution of outstanding issues.

Clear and concise communication skills to interact and develop relationship with business unit management teams and union represetives.

Knowledge and use of SAP, Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, winshuttle, webtool report and excel

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Business or Related Field required

1 - 3 years of relevant experience required

Compensation and Benefits

 

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $52,160 - $78,240.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
