Job Summary

The Specialist, ERP Configuration 3, SD supports Day & Zimmermann's SAP ERP platform by translating Sales, billing, distribution and business process needs into system configuration, functional specifications, testing, reporting, and end-user support. This job partners business users, ERP configuration leadership, ABAP/development resources, and technical teams to maintain reliable ERP systems, data integrity, and integrated ERP processes across assigned modules. The job contributes to business continuity and decision-making by ensuring ERP solutions are configured, documented, tested, and supported in alignment with operational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and enhance assigned SAP ERP/SD modules and related business applications to support Sales & Billing, reporting, and integrated business processes. Analyze business changes, legal or policy requirements, and system impacts to implement reliable configuration and development changes. 30%
  • Gather and translate requirements from business users, process owners, and technical teams into functional specifications, system designs, test scenarios, and implementation documentation. Ensure requirements reflect user needs, organizational impact, system limitations, data dependencies, and integration considerations. 25%
  • Provide advanced issue analysis and resolution for ERP/SD system problems, data issues, and support requests. Review SAP/ABAP design, architecture, code, configuration, and integration points with developers, functional managers, and solution engineers to restore service and prevent recurring issues. 20%
  • Lead testing, data validation, training, and deployment support for system changes, enhancements, and custom programs. Verify master data, standard and custom table usage, reporting outputs, and integration results to support accurate business processing and decision-making. 15%
  • Create and maintain user procedures, training materials, configuration documentation, and knowledge resources for business and technical audiences. Support related duties consistent with the job scope and business needs to improve adoption, continuity, and long-term supportability of ERP solutions. 10%

KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Advanced knowledge of SAP ERP configuration concepts, module integration, testing, implementation, and support practices needed to maintain reliable business systems.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Sales & Billing, or related ERP business processes sufficient to translate business needs into system requirements.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements, system limitations, data dependencies, and organizational impacts to design practical ERP configuration and enhancement solutions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system, data, reporting, and integration issues by collaborating with business users, ABAP/development resources, and technical teams.
  • Ability to create clear functional specifications, test scenarios, user procedures, training materials, and support documentation for business and technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage competing support, enhancement, and implementation priorities while maintaining customer focus, data integrity, and timely issue resolution.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Human Resources Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent related experience may be considered where appropriate. Required
  • 10+ years progressive ERP/SAP configuration, business systems analysis, or related information systems experience, including experience with SAP ERP/SD or related modules, requirements analysis, testing, integration support, reporting, data validation, and user support. Required

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $116,080 -  $188,630This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
