Position Description
We are looking for a Security Site Trainer to join our SOC team in Honolulu, HI!
Our Security Site Trainer supports the National Training Manager by delivering and coordinating approved CIFSO training, assessments, physical fitness testing, firearms and weapons program support, and weekly training at the assigned site and other sites as directed.
All position responsibilities are performed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies, including the Company’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.
As a Security Site Trainer, here's the work you will do:
- Conduct CIFSO new-hire and sustainment training, pre-CIFSO assessments, and directed remedial training; assess competency and recommend trainee readiness to the National Training Manager.
- Develop, plan, coordinate, and assess site-specific weekly training based on core capabilities, threat assessments, and corrective actions; implement training after National Training Manager approval.
- Administer authorized Physical Fitness Tests and retests; support weapons qualification and training, and serve as Safety Officer during CIFSO exercises.
- Conduct weapons inspections under the Weapons Maintenance Program; support armorer requirements and securely inventory and account for ammunition as directed.
- Inventory and account for training tools and equipment; coordinate and transport required training materials and equipment, and travel to other sites as directed by the National Training Manager.
- Maintain required instructor and armorer certifications and complete annual continuing education, National Training Manager-directed trainer standardization, Physical Fitness Test, and weapons qualification requirements.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
- Meets all Armed Guard/CIFSO requirements and has working knowledge of all aspects of physical security.
- Demonstrated instructional proficiency in firearms, physical fitness, tactical and medical, and site-specific security training.
- Ability to assess trainee competency, deliver remedial training, and make documented recommendations regarding readiness to proceed with CIFSO training.
- Strong planning, coordination, logistics, safety, and organizational skills for weekly training, exercises, equipment, ammunition, and travel.
- Strong communication, documentation, basic computer, and independent-work skills, with the ability to deliver National Training Manager/COR-approved training consistently.
And these qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Satisfactory prior military service (honorably discharged), federal, state, or local law enforcement experience, or three (3) years of armed security guard experience; or an Associate degree in a security-related field.
- Minimum one (1) year of Critical Infrastructure Facility Security Officer (CIFSO) experience required.
- Valid state security licenses and certifications required for armed guard duties.
- Must hold, or obtain no later than 180 calendar days after the start of the base period, and thereafter maintain, National Rifle Association Law Enforcement (NRA LE) Tactical Shooting Firearms Instructor certification in both pistol and rifle, or similar school with prior approval by the COR.
- Armorer certification on all contract weapon systems within 180 calendar days after the start of the base period.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to meet all contract-required physical fitness, weapons qualification, and training requirements.
- Pass the annual Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and weapons qualification on all contract weapon systems.
- Supervisory or lead experience preferred; may not serve as Site Manager.
- Documented completion of FEMA ICS-100, ICS-200, IS-700, and IS-800 training.
- Sufficient English proficiency to read regulations, follow instructions, and prepare clear reports.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 4 (High Risk)/PBSA-equivalent suitability determination.
- Complete a COR-approved Tactical Medical Instructor Training Program within 180 calendar days after the start of the base period.
In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $35.18-$61.37/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Pay is determined by the assigned work location and, where applicable, the governing collective bargaining agreement. The posted range reflects differences among locations and agreements; the rate for each assignment is fixed and is not based on seniority or experience.
