We're looking for an experienced Supervisor, Munitions Handler.

The Supervisor, Munitions Handler supervises assigned munitions handling employees in ammunition production, warehousing, maintenance, renovation, demilitarization, movement, or related depot operations at Hawthorne Army Depot. This job sets daily priorities, assigns work, reinforces safety and SOP compliance, and helps ensure production and operational goals are met in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.

Position may require security clearance, consistent with contract requirements and government approval.  U.S. or Naturalized citizenship is required.

This position is located on site in Hawthorne, NV.

As the Supervisor, Munitions Handler, here’s the work you’ll do:

• Supervise assigned munitions handling employees by setting priorities, assigning work, explaining requirements, reviewing work quality, and providing performance input. Recommend hiring, termination, promotion, or other employment-status actions when appropriate to support safe and effective crew performance
• Oversee daily worksite execution for assigned ammunition production, warehousing, maintenance, renovation, demilitarization, movement, or related operations. Ensure work is performed in accordance with Standing Operating Procedures, contract requirements, Company policies, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements
• Plan and adjust daily work assignments based on employee skills, materials, equipment availability, production needs, and changing operational priorities. Coordinate with other departments and assigned managers to resolve workflow issues and maintain operational continuity
• Complete and maintain required production, accountability, and operational records for assigned work activities. Track project status, ammunition counts, production progress, and related information to support accurate reporting and control of munitions operations.
• Support review and improvement of work methods, safety practices, training needs, and operating procedures. Communicate issues, hazards, and improvement opportunities promptly while maintaining ethical standards and reinforcing the Company Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required. Technical training, college coursework, or equivalent directly related experience in munitions, ordnance, logistics, warehousing, production, or a related field may be considered where appropriate.
• 18 months+ experience in ordnance production, warehousing operations, munitions handling, or related depot operations. Experience providing work direction, coordinating crew tasks, or supporting production workflow in an operations environment is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all certifications required by the Master Training Plan and assigned work area requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of government security clearance, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives clearance, favorable NCIC III vetting, and a Common Access Card (CAC), as required for assignment.
• Must be able to perform work duties routinely in a safe and effective manner, remain alert and aware of potential work and safety hazards, and perform safety-sensitive duties when required.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the hourly pay range for this role is $60,000- $90,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
