American Ordnance is seeking a Armed Security Guard to help maintain the safety and security of our operations, employees, and facilities. As the Armed Security Guard here’s the work you’ll do:
- Performs access control tasks at perimeter and internal access points that include vehicle searches and access badge inspections. Routine patrol of installation to inspect and assure production and storage areas are secure to include locking and unlocking of gates.
- Completes all required documentation for assigned duties and tasks. Documents may include: search registers, igloo check sheets, repository checks, vehicle check-sheets, and explosive building signature sheets.
- Perform surveillance and counter surveillance in order to maintain a secure workplace.
- Report potentially unsafe conditions and threats.
- Perform investigations, escorts, stand-bys, vehicle traffic enforcement, to include detainment powers.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
- Must possess a valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, which includes the gold or black star in the upper corner, indicating it is federally compliant OR Current Passport.
- 6 months security-related experience and/or training in the last 5 years preferred.
- Must pass quarterly and yearly physical agility testing.
- Must be able to obtain secret clearance.
- A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate with team members is essential for contributing to a cohesive work environment.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $27.67 - $29.13/HR. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
