Job Summary

Develops and executes strategy to meet/exceed safety, financial, operational, and customer goals for nuclear customers of D&Z.  Drives D&Z culture and values, accountability, use of defined processes and procedures, consistency in execution and Continuous Improvement Program across the Business Line.  Supports business development activities, long-range business line planning and resource management.  Analyzes the competitive environment and functions as the Business Line representative for developing and maintaining operations processes and procedures supporting the "D&Z Way."  Responsible, along with the Operations VP, for the Business Line P&L.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary account manager developing strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders to maintain optimal customer relations and expanding the volume and types of services D&Z provides. 
  • Responsible for achieving and exceeding financial, operational, growth, customer retention, and safety goals across the Business Line (Fleet). 
  • Champion the organization's commitment to safety and demonstrate a strong personal commitment to safety and D&Z values by providing leadership and establishing expecations and accountability related to the execution of an effective Customer and D&Z safety program across the entire Business Line. 
  • Conduct tactical reviews of the total fleet work plans to ensure adequate organizational resources are prioritized and deployed to support the contract requirements. 
  • Ensure effective project and contract management governance, procedures, tools and financial controls are established and maintained for project operations. 
  • Effectively partner with fuctional areas to achieve shared goals, resolve conflicts, and establish/promote best practices and process improvement. 

KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Technical/Industry Expertise- Demonstrated background in Projects and/or Construction management within the Power Industry; experience does not necessarily need to be with a contractor, although highly preferred; Strong knowledge and experience in project management and project controls, preferably at an enterprise or multi-site level. Is comfortable and can effectively bid and manage contracts on T&M, lump sum, and/or firm fixed price basis.
  • Projects & Construction Savvy- Action oriented; can be counted on to consistently exceed goals; bottom-line oriented; clearly assigns responsibility for tasks and decisions; pushes others for results and holds them accountable; sets business/account strategy and works through others to achieve results; maintains big-picture view of key projects and initiatives without getting lost in the details; active onsite field presence throughout the fleet.
  • Business/Financial Acumen- Understands how the business works including drivers of cost and revenue; able to understand and work with key financial measurements to analyze the business; able to develop actions to correct financial performance and/or develop new business; knows the marketplace and understands how business strategies and tactics impact marketplace perception.
  • Builds Strategic Client Relationships- Develops and sustains effective business relationships with people, especially at senior levels (internally and externally) to create value and influence customer buying patterns and increase revenue and market share.
  • Communicates with Impact- Clearly and consistently gets information across in a timely and effective manner both verbally and in writing. Demonstrates the ability to influence people and get them to take appropriate action.

Minimum Qualifications

  • College degree in a technical field or Business preferred
  • Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) or MBA in related field preferred
  • 15+ years of relevant projects and construction experience or has successfully served as a Director of Projects Required

 

 

In compliance with applicable state pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $194,640 - $291,960. This range is not a guarantee of compensation, as final offer amounts may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to employees may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
