We're looking for an experienced Badge Office Manager.

 

The Badge Office Manager is responsible for the management of badge offices, processes, report creation and reporting, and personnel at geographically dispersed facilities. The Badge Office Manager provides management, oversight, and training to ensure badges and credentials are prepared, issued, recovered, properly accounted for, and destroyed in accordance with Department of Energy (DOE) Orders and Directives. The Badge Office Manager will work effectively with the DOE client and facility visitors, providing security briefings to employees, visitors, contractors, and others for the purpose of access to a DOE facility.

Position will require security clearance, consistent with contract requirements and government approval.  U.S. or Naturalized citizenship is required.

This position is contingent upon contract award, and will be located on site in Washington DC area.

 

As the Badge Office Manager, here’s the work you’ll do:

 

  • Management of badge offices and personnel at geographically dispersed facilities in adherence with  Federal regulations, DOE Orders, Directives and guidance cited in the contract.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite software to include Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, and Internet Explorer, as well as Oracle database, for reporting and report creation
  • Provide management, oversight, and training to ensure badges and credentials are prepared, issued, recovered, properly accounted for, and destroyed in accordance with DOE Orders and Directives
  • Work effectively with the Department of Energy client and facility visitors, providing security briefings to employees, visitors, Contractor, and others for the purpose of access to a DOE facility.

 

This role is for you if you have these skills:

 

  • Ability to work effectively with the Department of Energy client, visitors, and manage a staff of five (5) or more employees in geographically separated offices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software to include Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Word, Access, and Internet Explorer, as well as Oracle database reporting and report creation.
  • Expert-level knowledge of fingerprinting and the badge fabrication process, including digital photography, badge verification, and customer service.
  • Ability to lead/conduct security briefings, inform customers on general security information, and have knowledge of federal security policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English through oral and written means.

 

 

And if you have these qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience for a minimum of (2) years may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
  • Three (3) years’ experience and be certified in fingerprinting and knowledge of USAccess, C-CURE 900 Enterprise and Personnel Security.
  • Training in HSPD-12 Directive and FIPS 201-2; Certified Fingerprinting.
  • Current DOE Q access authorization or;
  • Meet eligibility requirements that support obtaining a DOE Q access authorization, including either:
  1. A current DOE Q access authorization or equivalent current clearance, such as a Top Secret clearance; or
  2. Eligibility for granting or reinstatement of DOE Q access authorization. This generally requires that the individual has been the subject of a federal background investigation that meets the scope and extent of a Single Scope Background Investigation and was conducted or updated by reinvestigation within the most recent five years.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the hourly pay range for this role is $150,000- $200,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
