Position Description

We are looking for a Armed Security Officer to join our SOC Team in Whitestown, IN!

Our Police Officer I provides armed security, access control, patrol, and incident response at assigned facilities to protect personnel, property, and assets in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and post orders.

All position responsibilities are performed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies, including the Company’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.

As a Armed Security Officer, here's the work you will do:

  • Control and monitor facility access, manage visitor processing operations, issue and account for security badges, and conduct routine interior and exterior security patrols.
  • Respond to fire, intrusion, and other security alarms; test, monitor, and respond to security systems and CCTV in accordance with established procedures.
  • Document incidents accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with incident reporting and notification protocols.
  • Complete daily access-control reports and assist with Weekly Activity Report submissions.
  • Provide basic emergency first aid and assist with emergency response activities, as appropriate.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a high-security environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in firearms, access control, patrol operations, incident response, and report writing.

And these qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience; or an Associate degree in a security-related field.
  • Ability to meet all applicable physical fitness, weapons qualification, and training standards required under the contract.
  • Valid state security licenses and certifications required for armed guard duties.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 4 background investigation.

 

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $30-$52.40/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.Pay is determined by the assigned work location and, where applicable, the governing collective bargaining agreement. The posted range reflects differences among locations and agreements; the rate for each assignment is fixed and is not based on seniority or experience.
