About the Opportunity

Join SOC LLC as the Vice President of Critical Infrastructure Programs where you will play a pivotal leadership role in steering the strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance of a vital business unit. This unit serves diverse markets including the Department of Energy (DOE), commercial data centers, and related sectors, empowering you to contribute to the security and sustainability of essential infrastructure.

In this capacity, you will oversee multi-million dollar budgets and large-scale operations, emphasizing strategic pursuits and efficient program execution. Your ability to lead through complexity and change will be vital, as you align cross-functional teams to a shared vision of security, excellence, and client responsiveness. As the Vice President, Critical Infrastructure Programs, here is the work you'll do:

  • Develop and drive comprehensive business strategies that encompass DOE-funded projects and relevant commercial opportunities. Translate these strategies into actionable plans that deliver measurable results and sustainable growth.
  • Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary teams, including Program and Account Managers, to uphold operational excellence and customer satisfaction, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and contractual obligations.
  • Implement robust governance practices by actively participating in DOE oversight boards and facilitating critical decision-making processes that shape project outcomes.
  • Actively engage in business development processes by contributing to capture management, pricing strategies, and talent acquisition to secure and expand contract portfolios.
  • Foster enduring client relationships through frequent engagement, needs assessments, and proactive resolution of challenges to maintain trust and deepen partnerships.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance cost efficiency, operational workflows, and employee engagement across all managed programs.
  • Provide transparent and timely communication of program status, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership and key stakeholders.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing complex government contracts and programs, particularly within DOE markets, showcasing the ability to navigate regulatory environments and contractual nuances.
  • Proficient in leading diverse teams by fostering a culture of accountability, motivation, and professional growth, ensuring that all leaders and staff are equipped to meet evolving business needs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply government regulations to business practices, developing compliant policies and procedures that facilitate operational success.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of designing and implementing initiatives that align with organizational mission, stimulate workforce potential, and uphold high ethical standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills capable of conveying complex technical and business concepts clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences, facilitating collaboration and informed decision-making.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in arts, sciences, or related fields preferred. Advanced degrees are advantageous to support strategic leadership responsibilities.
  • Minimum of 15 years extensive experience within government program environments such as DOE, DOD, and DOS, with at least 7 years in senior management roles overseeing substantial teams and budgets.
  • Proven financial stewardship with responsibility for budgets exceeding $40 million annually, demonstrating fiscal discipline and resource optimization.
  • Experience managing large-scale integrated security and emergency services programs involving workforces of 3,000 or more employees, with a focus on ensuring operational readiness and compliance.
  • Specialized knowledge and practical experience managing Safeguards, Security, and Emergency Management at DOE sites, ensuring alignment with federal mandates and site-specific requirements.

 

 

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $174,080 - $304,640. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
