Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for establishing schedules and resource requirements for projects of basic scope. Coordinates with project managers on the development and implementation of project schedules to be reviewed by a Scheduler II or III; tracks and monitors project schedules through completion. Analyzes plans and schedules to identify potential delays and integration problems and escalates issues to Scheduler II or III; recommends changes to plans and schedules and obtain approval from a Scheduler II or III for implementation.
This position is to fill an existing vacancy for approximately 14 months.
Hybrid option including onsite in Tiverton (Bruce Power), Kincardine (Administrative Office) and from home.
Salary Range: $84,880 - $106,100 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
Assists with developing, maintaining current project schedules, status and schedule analysis with P6 software; recommends and develops scheduling process improvements for review prior to implementation.
Assists in developing and analyzing project metrics; generates accurate, timely reports and schedules for management to be reviewed by a Scheduler II or III and/or Direct Supervisor before communication.
Assists in developing project work breakdown structure for projects to meet scheduling and cost tracking requirements.
Assists in identifying and ensuring adherence to required project resources (staff, materials, equipment, etc.)
Participates on project teams providing valued project data and analysis; participates in project schedule status meetings; records meeting minutes as needed.
Develops understanding of critical path analysis and “what if” scenarios; evaluates impact of changes to critical path and presents to a Scheduler II or III and/or Direct Supervisor for implementation.
Job Qualifications:
• 0-3 Years experience of related work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 0-2 years of related work experience, or a non-technical discipline plus 2-4 years of related work experience, or comparable additional experience in lieu of a degree
• Basic understanding of complex planning and scheduling concepts and scheduling software, including Primavera 6
• Basic comprehension of nuclear power plan systems, components and interrelated activities
• Awareness of internal and external stakeholders to ensure complete work package inputs and definition
• Fundamental working knowledge of applications such as Microsoft Office (work, excel, powerpoint, etc.)
• Good written, verbal and listening communication skills
• P6 Certificate & experience using P6
