Position Description
This position has supervisory/lead or manager responsibility over a group of project controls personnel or functions as a technical specialist who develops advanced concepts. Individuals with supervisory/lead or manager responsibility provide technical direction over a group and may be responsible for employee performance appraisals.
Responsibilities
• Provide support and guidance for site Project Controls and Scheduling personnel & assist with troubleshooting field project controls issues
• Support project proposals
• Participate and conduct internal/external monthly project reviews
• Initiate/develop project control baselines (estimate/schedule/cost) and provide training on project control tools for new hires
• Coordinate placement of field personnel
• Develop and maintain site specific project controls procedures as required
Job Qualifications
• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Project Management, Engineering or related area
• 8-10+ years of experience in project controls
• 4-6+ years of experience in a construction environment and/or Nuclear sector is preferred
• PMP Certificate an asset
• Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and exceptional management and organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and must possess the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Excellent knowledge of project controls functions and the ability to plan, organize, budget, and monitor progress
• Excellent working knowledge of PC-based applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); P6 and SAP
