Position Description
Day & Zimmermann has an exciting opportunity for an intern within the Document Controls team for the term of May - August.
The successful intern will support coordinating and tracking project documents internally and externally; communicating with various stakeholders, customers and office staff of various levels, and maintaining and updating applicable procedures as required.
Responsibilities
• Assists with the on-site distribution of all required documents such as drawings, specifications and Comprehensive Work Packages
• Maintain project documentation within applicable company filing requirements
• Receive, track and monitor drawings and documentation from internal and external customers
• Provide administrative support to the Sr. Manager of Quality Control & Quality Assurance, as needed
Job Qualifications
• High School Diploma
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program or applicable field of study / trade
• Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact positively with all levels internally and externally with clients and in a team environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
