Were looking for a full time, Tool, Die & Gauge Maker.

 

As the Tool & Die Maker, here’s the work you’ll do:

•    Sets up, operates, adjusts and repairs the variety of shop machine tools, performs fitting, timing, assembling and calibrating operation; works to tolerances of .0001 of an inch and finishes as required.

•    Works from drawings, sketches, written specifications and verbal instructions.

•    Works with a variety of materials as aluminum, brass, bronze, iron, steel, various plastics and a variety of alloys.

•    Plans, lays out and constructs new tools, dies, fixtures and gauges.

•    Disassembles broken or worn tools, dies and gauges, to determine which parts must be replaced; lays out and forms new parts, using discarded parts as patterns; reshapes and refinishes work tools, fixtures and dies.

•    Follows training when work requires collecting, transporting, storing, treating, disposing and/or otherwise handling of hazardous waste and its related documentation. Responsible for cleaning up work area.

 

This role is for you if you have these skills:

•    Ability to understand drawings, sketches, written specifications and verbal instructions.

•    Ability to use a variety of machine tools, machinist's hand and powered bench tools, gauges, blocks, micrometers and other precision measuring devices.

•    Maintains segregation of contaminated/hazardous waste as prescribed in procedures and SOPs.

•    Ability to follow hazardous waste training and its related documentation.

•    Oral and verbal communication skill.

 

And if you have these qualifications:

•    Completion of apprenticeship program or equivalent.

•    3 - 4 years work experience at the journey level

 

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $30.75 - $38.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
