As the Engineer, Manufacturing 1 here's the work you'll do:
The Program Management Technical Assistant (PMTA) 2 reports to the Director of Program Management and provides diverse support to the Program Management team. This role is responsible for facilitating the planning and coordination of activities to ensure that the team’s goals and objectives are achieved within established timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards. The PMTA 2 may also be assigned to lead and/or assist
with managing various programs, operating under the guidance of the primary Program Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the Program Manager by planning, organizing, and coordinating cross-functional activities within a matrixed organization to meet both customer and company objectives for assigned programs and projects. Responsibilities include managing the Risk and Opportunity Program, coordinating customer visits, leading meetings on behalf of the Program Manager, and overseeing schedules and deliverables for the Program Management Team.
- Engages with customers to understand their needs and expectations, strengthen relationships, enhance the company's credibility, and drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.
- Applies established project management methodologies and tools (as outlined in the skills section) to effectively lead and assist with managing projects and programs from initiation through completion.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing technical documentation including SOWs, risk registers, and status reports.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
- Strong oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills; Ability to represent the company in a professional manner to win customer confidence; Ability to understand and communicate technical issues.
- Ability to learn and use Formal project management process and tools (project justification and approval, ROI/IRR, charter, SOW, risk assessment, WBS, schedule, budget, variance reporting & corrective action, team meetings, closeout) to lead and manage programs and projects.
- Ability to problem solve using quantitative and qualitative approaches. Deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Organized in approach to work. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Proficiency in Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, and other software programs is needed.
- Ability to understand and assist program managers with preparing proposals, cost estimates and with contract negotiation; Must be Proactive and respond promptly to customer needs both internal and external. Ability to Maintain confidentiality. Excellent listening skills required; Responds well to questions. Has excellent phone skills. Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
And if you have these qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree-Related Degree OR Unrelated Degree with 2 plus years of Project Management experience OR 1 year Direct PMTA experience.
- Must possess a valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, which includes the gold or black star in the upper corner, indicating it is federally compliant.
- Government Secret Clearance may be required
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $61,680 - $92,520. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
