As the Supervisor, Maintenance 2 here's the work you'll do:
Position Summary
Manages and supervises assigned personnel engaged in fabrication, installation, rearrangement, utilization and maintenance of Plant facilities including building, grounds, roads, railroads, utilities and equipment. Oversees the setup and use of tools and equipment before production use in order to ensure the optimum level of safety and efficiency. Displays and utilizes extensive experience and judgment to plan, set, and accomplish goals. Assists lower-level supervisors in complex or unusual maintenance projects. Inspects work in progress by outside contractors to determine adherence to plans and specifications. Evaluates the effectiveness of equipment operations and makes necessary repairs or changes in operating methods to improve Plant operations. Inspects completed job assignments for adherence to trades standard and/or contract specifications. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job assignments.
- Reviews work objectives and estimates man-hour and skill requirements to accomplish objectives while preparing and/or assisting other departments in Scopes of Work.
- Planning, prioritizing, assigning, supervising, reviewing and participating in all tasks related to facility maintenance.
- Create and maintain preventive maintenance standards for an organization’s facilities and equipment.
- Prepares cost estimates and evaluates capabilities of all crafts involved. Evaluates procedures and sequences of job phases during cost estimation to better staff each effort.
- Interprets work orders, specifications, and blueprints for employees. Creates/formulates as-built and pre-fabrication sketches for secondary equipment and/or utility installation or relocation. Prepares job progress reports and required course of action negative and/or difficult situations.
- Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed. Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
- Extensive knowledge of and the ability to perform Maintenance Craft related skill.
- Knowledge of cost estimating.
- Computer skills (including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot, operate, maintain, construct and make repairs to facility, utilities, machinery and equipment.
And these qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma required with Maintenance apprenticeship or technical school certification preferred
- Length of Experience: 3 years supervisory experience in Maintenance related activities
- Certifications: Equipment/Machine Operation,
- Other: Have good working knowledge of systems including electrical, pipe, mechanical, carpentry, masonry, and painting.
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $61,680 $92,520. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
