Job Summary
We’re looking for a full-time, staff Sr. Pricing Analyst to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Texarkana, TX. The Senior Pricing Analyst leads pricing efforts for capture and proposal activities at the D&Z Plants, developing cost and price models, structuring proposals, and preparing compliant responses to RFPs. This role partners with Business Development, Program Management, Contracts, and Supply Chain to shape competitive pricing strategies for munitions manufacturing. Using program comparisons, historical data, and proven methodologies, the analyst delivers accurate estimates of labor, material, overhead, and G&A, ensuring proposals are both financially sound and strategically positioned.
Responsibilities
As the Sr. Pricing Analyst, here’s the work you’ll do:
- Lead pricing activities to develop compliant, competitive, and compelling cost/price proposals. Ensure alignment with FAR, CAS, TINA, and company policies. Prepare pricing narratives that substantiate assumptions and reflect the proposed solution.
- Partner with BD/capture, PM, and technical teams to shape deal strategy, Price-to-Win approaches, and customer-centric solutions. Provide input on contract structure, negotiations, and competitive positioning.
- Perform financial analysis of proposals, including cash flow projections, risk assessment, and profit/margin evaluation, to balance customer requirements with company objectives. Provide scenario modeling and recommendations for opportunity shaping.
- Support cost estimating activities, including BOM development, assumptions documentation, and use of historical/analogous data. Ensure completeness and accuracy of labor, material, and overhead inputs.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
- Exceptional analytical skills; ability to develop and present complex data or information in a clear and simple format to all levels of management.
- Working knowledge of government contracting, DCAA, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Cost Accounting Standards and TINA; understanding of collective bargaining agreements and Service Contract Act.
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, advanced analytic techniques; proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word and PowerPoint: Proficiency in an ERP system.
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills. Must display organizational agility; able to develop and leverage effective relationships and networks; knows how to get things done through both formal channels and informal networks. Attention to detail also a must.
- Ability to support at fast-paced, high volume and diverse workload.
And if you have these qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Accounting, Finance or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience with pricing in the federal government environment.
- Experience with the development of price proposals and cost volumes (all types of government contracts - T&M, CPAF, CPFF, FFP).
- Ability to counsel proposal teams on price strategy based on historical experience.
- Related experience or training in project management, cost accounting standards, Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Certified Estimating Professional (CEP)-AACE preferred.
- Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst program (CCEA) preferred.
- Great attitude and team player.
- Successful completion of background and drug screening process.

Compensation and Benefits
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $86,160.00 - $129,240.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
