Job Summary

Directs the financial activities of the assigned plant location(s) including accounting, fixed assets, and payroll.  Establishes appropriate policy and guidelines in compliance with governing regulations. Develops business plan based on the economic objectives and policies of the plant location. Performs analytical review and provides key financial metric to leadership for use in managing and controlling the activities of the facility. Assures compliance with USG contract accounting requirements

 

As the Plant Controller, D&Z Plants, here's the work you'll do:

  • Responsible for financial budgeting and accounting, forecasting, payroll administration, and reporting including variance reporting and key financial metric analysis. Plans for income, cost and cash flow within overall plant operation
  • Responsible for financial statement accuracy. Maintains compliance with CAS, GAAP, FAR and company policies including coordinating input from local and corporate functions
  • Establish appropriate internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risk.  Assures that internal controls are being performed and that these controls are safeguarding the assets within the acceptable risk for the activity. Assure processes and procedures are in accordance with GAAP and FAR as well as consistent with the Cost Disclosure Statement and contractual obligations
  • Communicates effectively to keep leadership and peers advised on deviations from GP&P plan and causes of change in Net Contribution, financial metrics, and Overhead/G&A rates, any significant changes in backlog, impacts to receivables, or proposal activity; any deviations from mission statement or normal scopes of work; any deviations from corporate policy including GAAP.  Provides leadership education to Operations Leadership on the financial metrics and expectations of the compan
  • Supervise and develop personnel in areas of financial accounting and reportin
  • Facilitate audits conducted by DCAA, DCMA and other external auditors.  Prepares DCAA required reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Skills - Proven knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles such as GAAP, FAR and CAS as well as understanding of company/industry financial reporting requirements. Functional knowledge of SAP, Excel, Word, and PowerPoin
  • Business Acumen - Ability to perform duties with latitude for exercise of initiative, independent judgement, and discretion. Ability to perform under pressure
  • Cognitive ability - oral and written communication, interpersonal, teaming and supervisory skills

And if you have these qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience required
  • 7+ years related experience; recent experience in manufacturing accounting; Government contracting

 

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is $107,200 - $160,800. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
