Position Description

 

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is responsible for managing day-to-day administrative tasks, including, but not limited to the coordination of recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and other HR functions. The HR Coordinator will collaborate with the Generalist/Manager, in the planning and/or execution of Day & Zimmermann enterprise-wide initiatives, programs and processes that span Munitions business.

 

  • Responsible for successful onboarding and conducting new hire orientation and training. Conducts exit interviews and may assist with analyzing themes to develop action plan to address attrition. Gathers data and prepares documents to present at unemployment and legal hearings/arbitrations.
  • Custodian of HR documents, forms and employee communications. Utilize HRIS systems to streamline data management processes.
  • Assist with managing union bid process including but not limited to posting bid sheets in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreements, screening candidates, and evaluating personnel folders.
  • Plan and execute low-risk investigations resulting from ethics reports or other employee/management relations complaints.

 

To be considered, candidates will have:

 

  • An Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience and/or training in a Human Resources support function.
  • At least 2 years related experience in a human resources role
  • Understanding of OFCCP, FLSA, ADA, FMLA and state specific employment related laws/regulations OR ability to know key words in order to solicit assistance in these areas as needed
  • Customer Focus Orientation -- Strong focus on service delivery to internal customers while supporting alignment with broader organization.  Must build and develop relationships and be able to absorb and translate others' statements into objective responses and actions.
  • A valid driver's license
  • SHRM CP or PHR is a plus

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $51,440 - $77,160. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
