As the Engineer, Manufacturing III here's the work you'll do:
Position Summary
Performs engineering duties including process layouts, developing and updating procedures, safety enhancements and design/conception of continuous improvement projects. Independently sets priorities and executes daily responsibilities of multiple manufacturing processes and products.
- Responsible for the designing and checking of test equipment, tooling or structures for the testing of high explosive components; approves and reviews preliminary engineering drawings of mechanical and electronic tools and circuits; and directs the testing and verification of circuitry of electric and electronic equipment used to accept manufacture products.
- Communicate project needs, schedules and activities to include, but not limited to, Project Management, Proposal Writing and Budgeting.
- Primary point of contact for all suppliers and managing their activities in compliance to specifications.
- Able to take a project from inception to production, on-time to budget.
- Lean manufacturing techniques and methods, to include: Time and Motion Studies, Design of Experiments, Continuous Improvement & Flow, Total Productive Maintenance, and Value Stream Mapping.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
- Ability to read and interpret various drawings and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to handle multiple duties simultaneously. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to drive large projects from conception to completion.
- Knowledge in Word, Access, Excel, AutoCAD, 3D Modeling, Outlook, SAP and other software programs as needed.
- Ability to prepare well written procedures and technical report.
And if you have these qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field; prefer ME or Mechatronics
- Length of Experience:7+ years engineering experience
- Licenses/ Registrations: Valid driver's license. Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Other: Successfully pass a background check and drug screen
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $79,040- $118,560. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
