Job Summary

The Technical Engagment Manager (TEM) is responsible for the oversight of Statement of Work based consulting teams provided by Yoh. The TEM will serve as the main operational point of contact for both the Client Manager and the Yoh provided consulting team for key facets of the SOW/Engagement, largely to reduce the administrative burden on the client manager. Their responsibility will include; working with the client to select and on-board the contractor team, provide oversight to the contract team insuring they have what they need to conduct their work, assess their progress and identify any potential areas of concern or risk to the project and attempt to resolve them. They will accomplish this through regularly meeting with the team. The TEM will meet with the Client Manager on a regular, pre-determined basis to review team progress, project time & approval and burn rates and to raise any risk concerns about existing team members along with mitigation recommendations including replacing the contractor, prior to it impacting the project.

Responsibilities

  • Liaison between Contractor Team, Client Manager, Yoh Account Manager and Yoh Branch/Practice Manager. Lead communication with contractor team and client to ensure all team members are aware of responsibilities to ensure successful project completion at all times. Responsible for overall resource management including resolving performance and contractor relations issues. Ensure SOW risks are identified and proactively mitigate/retire risks with relevant contractor teams. 40%
  • Provide weekly project metrics, including but not limited to contractor on-boarding, hours worked, financial burn, contractor satisfaction, time off planning, time keeping, contractor risk, and mitigation recommendations. 30%
  • Building strong relationship with Client Manager(s) by acting as a trusted partner to them. Curate personal relationships with the managers outside of specific project responsibilities to create a strong bond to Yoh. 20%
  • Work closely with branch recruiting teams to maintain a pipeline of viable candidates in case one of the project team members needs to be replaced. 5%
  • Identify potential work that is related to the existing projects to help Yoh penetrate other areas within the larger client organization. This is done by spending time understanding the client project portfolio, priorities, market challenges and understanding where crucial needs are and meeting those managers to see how Yoh can assist them. Work with the Yoh Account Manager to build strategy to secure that business. 5%

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in any STEM discipline Required
  • Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) Preferred
  • 5+ years Technical Project or Engagement Management experience Required
  • Prior client relationship building experience Required
  • Strong technology knowledge/interest Required

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation and Benefits-

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is $117,920 - $176,880. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
