Position Description
We’re looking for a full-time, staff Temporary Employee Relations Specialist to join our Day & Zimmermann team onsite located in Stanton, TN. The Employee Relations Specialist manages the administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs for staff employees and contingent workers. This role also provides employee relations and ensures that employee policy, programs and federal and state law are consistently applied across client group.
As the Temporary Employee Relations Specialist, here’s the work you’ll do:
- Interprets Human Resources policies and federal/state regulations related to pay practices. Provides guidance (or escalates issues to Sr. HR Director) as appropriate. Performs all activities in support of hiring, new hire orientation, compensation, benefits, leave administration, transfers, promotions and terminations. Manages and responds to routine correspondence and inquiries from employees and frontline managers.
- Investigates employee relations issues, i.e. employee complaints, alleged misbehavior and/or violation of work rules, policies and/or regulatory requirements. Makes recommendations to resolve issues in accordance with Company policies, practices, and procedures. Consults with key stakeholders as needed, i.e. HR Director, Employee Relations Manager, Legal, etc. Consistently documents investigations and results.
- Participates in Corporate HR initiatives and projects; Performance Management, Annual Salary Planning, Goal Setting, etc.
- Conducts HR training and/or assists in the implementation of human resources initiatives or projects.
- Liaison to specialized HR functional groups and COE to maximize employee and customer support.
- Assists with other HR special projects or assignments as needed.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
- Solid understanding of FLSA, ADA, FMLA and state specific employment related laws/regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.

- Strong problem solving skills.
And if you have these qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in HR or Related Field.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience required.
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR preferred.
- SAP experience, Success Factors experience preferred.
- Great attitude and team player.
- Successful completion of background screening process.
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $66,160.00 - $99,240.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
