Marketing & Communications Specialist needed for a temporary opportunity with Day & Zimmermann Government Services
This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications. The role supports Day & Zimmermann Government Services (DZGS) sales and marketing efforts through the coordination and execution of marketing and communications initiatives designed to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and organizational outreach.
The ideal candidate will support the development and coordination of marketing and communications plans, multimedia content creation across platforms and channels, social media management, internal messaging, website communications, and event support. This role requires a collaborative team player who demonstrates strong communication, organization, creative thinking, and project coordination skills while supporting the dynamic needs of the marketing division.
Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications Support
- Under the guidance of the VP, Marketing & Communications, support the development and execution of marketing and communications campaigns/plans that effectively promote Government Services initiatives and priorities.
- Assist in the creation, writing, editing, design, and dissemination of multimedia content across communication platforms and channels, including:
- Social media
- Website content
- Internal communications
- Marketing collateral
- Digital campaigns
- Support communication channels to ensure consistent and strategic messaging aligned with brand standards and organizational objectives.
- Assist with monitoring and reporting on marketing campaign performance, social media engagement, and digital communication effectiveness.
Content Development & Brand Support
- Support brand initiatives by collaborating with cross-functional teams to coordinate communications and marketing activities.
- Contribute innovative ideas and creative content strategies to support audience engagement and outreach efforts.
- Assist in managing projects from concept through production while maintaining attention to detail and adherence to established marketing processes.
- Support ongoing marketing initiatives through content creation including writing, editing, design coordination, and social media management.
Digital Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor website and social media activity to support marketing initiatives and audience engagement.
- Track marketing leads, engagement metrics, and campaign analytics to support monthly and quarterly reporting efforts.
- Assist with evaluating communication trends and supporting data-driven marketing recommendations.
Event & Administrative Coordination
- Coordinate marketing and communications support for internal and external events, including:
- Marketing collateral preparation
- Promotional giveaways and supply ordering
- Venue coordination and logistics
- Potential onsite event support
- Assist with administrative coordination and organization of marketing assets, communications materials, and campaign timelines.

- Excellent communications skills and writing/editing ability (English language)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism and/or related specialization in Government or International Studies Required
- 1-3 years related marketing and communications experience preferred
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $75,000 to $113,000 . This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements)
