We're looking for a full time Railcar - Truck Inspector.
This position pays $22.61 per hour!
As the Railcar – Truck Inspector, here’s the work you’ll do:
• Inspects empty trailers for loading to assure compliance with DOD Regulations and CFR 49 and reports to Trafic Specialist truck number, seals, inside length, inside width and stenciled load limit of empty trailers.
• Inspects load of Hazardous Material for compliance of carrier with accessorial services required on the Bill of Lading, driver qualification required by DOD and Truck Inspection Form DD 626, and any irregularity suggestive of load being tampered with, damaged or pilfered. Obtains unloading location from Stores Planner and dispatches load to the unloading point.
• Reports car numbers, initials and contents of loads to Car Allocator so switching may be made to unloading points.
• Inspects empty trailer at Inspection Station for compliance with all applicable DOD and DOT Regulations; completes DD Form 626 for empty inspection and dispatches to loading point.
• Assists with loading and unloading of trucks as necessary.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
• Successfully completes training program for Railcar - Truck Inspector or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of DOD and DOT Regulations.
• Performs recordkeeping duties.
• Follows training guidelines concerning collecting, transporting, storing, treating, disposing, and/or otherwise handling of hazardous waste and its related documentation.
And if you have these qualifications:
• Must be able to obtain US Domestic Hazardous Materials Certifications and must be able to obtain Forklift Certifcation
