Position Description

We’re looking for a full-time, staff Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Philadelphia, PA.

 

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the consolidation of the annual planning process and quarterly forecasting process.  This position is also responsible for supporting finance for the Corporate Staffing Units (ex: IT, HR, Finance, Legal, etc.) including period financial close, budgeting, forecasting, variance reporting, business reviews and ad hoc requests.  This person is a strong communicator with the ability to partner cross-functionally, drives process improvement, and has the ability to analyze and solve business challenges.

 

As the Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance, here’s the work you’ll do:

  • The Senior Financial Analyst will be a leader in the Annual Planning process, preparing the Growth & Profit Plan (GPP), mid- and quarterly forecasting process, and period financial analyses packages and presentations in an accurate and timely manner. Responsible for being the group expert in SAP BPC. Disseminates subject matter expertise to facilitate use of BPC among the organization.
  • Handles periodic (monthly) close process for Corporate Staffing units, including variance analysis, journal entries, trend analysis, and preparation of results package to highlight key findings and trends and provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership
  • Deliver continuous improvements in the Annual Profit Planning and quarterly forecast processes to drive simplification and overall reduction to the processing and cycle time of the planning process
  • Partners closely with IT on the interfaces and backend/database-related items. Collaborate with individuals across the finance organization to ensure effective and accurate financial reporting processes and internal controls
  • Review financial results in Annual Profit Plan to ensure reasonability and consistency with overall financial objectives
  • Analyze current operating performance, perform ad hoc analysis as requested by all levels of management, and make recommendations relating to growth and/or cost control opportunities.

 

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Possess knowledge and understanding of financial systems, financial planning and analysis, and accounting principles.
  • Experience in Enterprise Performance solutions –SAP Business Planning and Consolidations (BPC), Power BI a plus. High level of proficiency with SAP, Data Management tools, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Presents problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present information in different forums and with all/multiple levels of leadership.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA preferred.
  • 5-7 Years with direct FP&A experience

 

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is $88,880 . $133,320. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
