Impact You'll Make

As a Sr. Analyst in Labor Processing & RPA Support at Day & Zimmermann, Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of labor-related workforce transactions across our Yoh and Federal Services business activities.

Your expertise will drive improvements in the processing of weekly time entry files, adjustments, reconciliations, and exception resolution. Collaborating with Payroll, Finance, Operations, IT, vendors, and various business stakeholders, you will help maintain critical processing deadlines, resolve complex labor-related issues, and enhance both process accuracy and efficiency.

Your contributions will directly support accurate employee compensation and customer billing, while fostering a seamless user experience with our automated workflows and VMS systems. This position offers an engaging opportunity to impact business operations significantly through collaboration and continuous process refinement.

As the Sr. Analyst, Labor Processing & RPA Support, here's the work you'll do:

  • Provide Tier 1 operational support by monitoring VMS time processing and related robotic process automation workflows, serving as the first point of contact for resolving user inquiries, troubleshooting reported problems, and gathering pertinent information to diagnose issues effectively.
  • Manage the end-to-end processing of labor transactions, including weekly time entry files, adjustment entries, and verified time collection activities, ensuring data completeness, authorization adherence, proper coding, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Investigate and address exceptions such as missing, rejected, duplicated, or inaccurate labor records by leveraging analytical skills and collaborating with managers, timekeepers, payroll, finance teams, and external partners to coordinate precise corrections.
  • Conduct thorough reconciliations, validations, quality checks, and ongoing monitoring of work queues to verify successful and accurate completion of labor transactions and automation outputs, prioritizing prompt resolution of outstanding exceptions and process discrepancies.
  • Escalate unresolved or complex technical issues related to automation failures, system defects, configuration anomalies, or access restrictions to Tier 2 support and appropriate IT or development teams, providing detailed summaries and impact analyses to expedite resolution.
  • Support adherence to process compliance and documentation standards, participate in testing protocols, audits, and new customer onboarding initiatives tied to labor processing and robotic automation workflows, while safeguarding confidential information in alignment with data privacy regulations.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Proficient understanding of labor processing, timekeeping systems, payroll procedures, Vendor Management System (VMS) data flows, and labor accounting frameworks necessary to uphold precise compensation and billing processes.
  • Strong capability to oversee automated workflow systems and conduct Tier 1 troubleshooting, effectively diagnosing issues stemming from user inputs, data integrity, configuration settings, process design, or automation functionality.
  • Analytical skills to validate, reconcile, and interpret large volumes of labor and workflow data, identifying exceptions, uncovering root causes, and recommending corrective measures to mitigate operational risks.
  • Exceptional communication skills geared toward effectively conveying complex procedural and technical information to diverse stakeholders including payroll, finance, operations, IT teams, vendors, and management personnel, facilitating swift and transparent issue resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently organize, prioritize, and execute multiple concurrent labor processing tasks, support requests, and reconciliations within strict timeframes in a dynamic, high-volume operational environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting, combined with experience using enterprise business systems such as SAP, VMS applications, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and Teams to support collaborative workflows and documentation.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required as a foundational credential.
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent technical training in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related fields is preferred and will be considered a strong asset.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive, hands-on experience in labor processing, payroll and timekeeping systems, VMS support, robotic process automation (RPA) or automated workflow management, transaction reconciliation, or related financial operations is required. Experience should include managing high-volume exception handling and providing cross-functional stakeholder support.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and learn new technologies and processes, with a commitment to ongoing professional development in labor processing and automation domains.
