Position Description
We’re looking for a full-time, staffs Network Engineer 3, to join the Day & Zimmermann team located in Philadelphia, Pa.
Serve as a subject matter expert in the design, implementation, and support of the wide-area, local-area, and wireless networks for the corporation. This position entails proficient to advanced activities within the networking and communications group, focusing on the ability to effectively support project and task activities for developing and maintaining the security, performance, availability, and recoverability of the corporation's networking and communications infrastructure, especially concerning network devices, network software, communications provider services, and all data connectivity. Demonstrates proficient skills in LAN/WAN engineering while achieving individual, team, and organizational goals.
As the Network Engineer 3, here’s the work you’ll do:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues concerning remote access solutions including Cisco ISE, Cisco ASA Firewalls, F5 BigIP load-balancers, VPN server and client components as well as wireless networks
- Actively assist and participate in the implementation of systems, infrastructure and related network and communications hardware for the enterprise
- Ability to provide beginner to intermediate level support of all IT networking and communications hardware, software and cloud infrastructure for the corporation. Develop and document procedures for routine operations including troubleshooting, support, and administration.
- Analyzes network systems and recommends upgrades/changes; Provide testing and performance analysis of network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
- Perform system upgrades and incorporate new technologies to the infrastructure minimizing effects on the user experience, working nights and weekends as necessary. Maintain system / network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
- Coordinate wiring and equipment installations at remote sites using various data communication vendors and remote site staff. Research, select, and coordinate the best data broadband or IP data communications options for remote office and corporate connectivity
This role is for you if you have these skills:
- 6+ years of industry experience in installation, configuration and support of networking communications hardware and software. Experience and proficiency with Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches desired. Experience with F5 and other vendor networking and communications equipment preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced expertise in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN devices, network security appliances, and all data networking communications. Familiarity with VOIP technologies and related solutions preferred
- Intermediate to advanced abilities and expertise in support of cloud technologies, Cisco switches, routers, access devices, and related communications protocols, especially TCP/IP and WAN communications.
- Experience working independently and as part of a team, including reporting information to management, coordination of events, and completion of documentation
- Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment with task prioritization, while executing tasks in a highly dynamic environment. Knowledge of industry standards and innovative technology solutions and techniques to intelligently manage and support the infrastructure
And if you have these qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
- 6+ years
- Cisco, Microsoft Azure, F5 and other security, networking and communications certifications preferred
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $97,920 - $159,120 This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
