Position Description
We’re looking for a full-time, staff Leave Administration Specialist to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Philadelphia, PA. The Leave Administration Specialist is responsible for administering company leave policy for staff and contract employees. They are the subject matter expert on leave policy and procedure and serve as the main point of contact for employee leave requests and processing. The Leave Administration Specialist partners across teams including Corporate HR, Legal, the Business Units and our vendors to effectively administer leaves for our employees, within compliance of federal, state and local laws, as applicable.
As the Leave Administration Specialist, here’s the work you’ll do:
- Responsible for all leave administration for employees (staff and contractors) including FMLA, STD, LTD, intermittent, etc. This includes: Corresponding with employees, collecting and reviewing paperwork, processing leave and return from leave actions in SAP. Interact with Corporate Benefits team, employees, and vendors to resolve questions and issues. Responsible to ensure compliance and adherence to company policy in our administration of employee leave.
- Acts as SME for leaves, including being knowledgeable about state leave laws and upcoming law changes. Responsible for documenting processes and procedures related to leaves and leave time entry. Periodically reviews and revises leave processes to ensure efficient, compliant, and effective processing of leave requests. Responsible for tracking leave requests and approved leaves, conducting and reviewing audits, and taking appropriate action when necessary.
- Responsible for time entry and review.
- Provides coverage as needed for other areas of D&Z HR Compliance Team, including I9 compliance audits, Unemployment support, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Comply with and administer Data Privacy policies, principles and procedures. Maintains customer and employee confidence and protects operations by ensuring the minimal, secure, approved, responsible, and confidential handling of data, as well as breach notification.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
- Ability to focus on customer needs with a commitment to quality and customer service.
- Strong knowledge of employee federal leave laws, including FMLA, and state and local leave laws, including applicable CA and NY leave laws.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effectively handles demands from multiple customers and pressures from competing priorities.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Ability to develop proficiency in SAP and Issue/Case Management Applications. Proven ability to work with a variety of systems. 1-2 years’ experience working in SAP is preferred.
And if you have these qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred.
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in HR with a focus on leave administration, or comparable relevant experience.
- Knowledge of and experience working in SAP preferred.
- Great attitude and team player.
- Successful completion of background screening process.
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is $47,760.00 - $71,640.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
