Job Description: 

We're looking for a full time, Water Treatment Technician.

As the Water Treatment Operator, here’s the work you’ll do:

  • Operates the water treatment systems independently, maintaining consistent water quality to support uninterrupted operations, and addresses any malfunctions proactively.
  • Collects and analyzes water samples, adjusts chemical balances as necessary, and prepares detailed reports for management review.
  • Plans and executes the removal and replenishment of Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC), ensuring its proper installation and safe disposal in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Maintains an organized workspace, manages inventory efficiently to ensure system operation, and ensures compliance with OSHA and internal safety procedures.
  • Monitors containment dikes and pits regularly, identifies potential risks for environmental spills, and implements preventive measures.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to troubleshoot.
  • Knowledge of drawing schematics, pressures and machinery.
  • Knowledge of the processes and techniques involved in processing explosive contaminated water.

And if you have these qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED - required
  • Associate’s in environmental science – Preferred
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in the environmental field - required
  • Must be able to obtain HAZWOPER within one year of employment.

 

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is $42,560 - $63,840. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
