Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Manages quality functions to ensure customer satisfaction, compliance, and cost competitiveness. Provides leadership to ensure culture of accountability and personal ownership for product and service quality, compliance, and waste elimination 30%
- Leads and develops methods to continuously improve the effectiveness of the Quality Management Systems, process controls, internal audit, supplier certification, and continual improvement processes to reduce cost, cycle time, and elimination of waste to improve quality, productivity, reliability, and process capability. 20%
- Develops and coordinates Quality Management System (QMS) related functions, relays instruction regarding use of inspection methods and quality tools, (problem solving, FMEA, process mapping, root cause analysis, SPC, and inspection equipment use). 20%
- Leads, oversees, and trains to the failure management system including failure analysis, preventive and corrective action and integrates lean manufacturing projects into continual improvement efforts to meet the critical defects clause of the government contract. 15%
- Maintains a continuing liaison with customer personnel and regulatory agencies to ensure a positive understanding between the plant locations and their customers relative to quality and lean systems and process capabilities. 10%
- Attracts, retains, and develops employees. Evaluates team members for compliance with established goals /objectives, contributions in attaining goals/objectives, and overall performance 5%

- Business/Financial Acumen - Understands business strategy and how to align and prioritize Quality processes and practices to support the organization's vision and goals.
- Problem Solving - Strong analytical skills; able to work through necessary channels and use quality diagnostic tools, involving collaborative efforts among government and internal customers to accomplish outcomes in complex settings.
- Project Management - Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams utilizing six sigma to accomplish significant savings through lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Leadership and Change Management - Strong ability to consult, partner and lead change. Excellent communication and facilitation skills. Translates customer needs into positive actions taken by Company.
- People Management - Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop talent, establish goals and hold employees accountable.
- May require US Government Secret Clearance
Minimum Qualifications
- College Degree Required
- Degree in Engineering/Mathematics/Business Management Preferred
- Degree in other fields acceptable with specific experience/training in quality assurance, statistics, or process control. Required
- 5+ years experience in quality field and/or mechanical/industrial engineering. Required
- Experience should include leadership and change agent responsibilities. Required

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $107,200 - $160,800. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
