This position pays $26.04 per hour!
2nd Shift: Mon - Thu 5:00pm - 3:30am



We’re looking for a full-time, Heavy Driver to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Parsons, Kansas.

As the Heavy Driver, here’s the work you’ll do:

  • Checks truck for proper operating condition, recommends necessary repairs, and may make minor adjustments. May supervise a small crew of laborers.
  • Performs necessary functions to receive, move, store and outship material in an efficient and safe manner. Responsible for onsite transportation of hazardous waste.
  • Picks orders for line support and shipments. Check or count freight for accuracey and/or damage
  • Assembles various types of merchandise to be shipped.
  • Performs necessary inventory functions as required and responsible to insure accurate counts on storage items

 

 

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Experience operating a semi with trailer and forklift safely.
  • Knowledge of Security regulations (ATF, DSS, Homeland Security)
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Effective communication skills.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • High School and/or equivalent.
  • 3 years minimum experience
  • Forklift
  • Hazardous Materials Endorsement, Class A-CDL
  • Minimal reading comprehension 6th grade level required
