We’re looking for a full-time, staff Hazardous Waste Disposal Supervisor!

  • Manages daily operations of hazardous and inert disposal system, includes supervision & training of employees.
  • Maintains records for all Hazardous Waste shipments according to EPA, IDNR and DOT Regs.
  • Maintain and ensure Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Compliance for all locations at AO Iowa.
  • Manage the disposal of universal waste to include such things as batteries, used lamps, PCBs, and used oil.
  • Maintain production line compliance with RCRA Regs permit part B and the ability to sign Hazardous Waste Manifest.

This role is for you if you have these qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 years supervisory experience preferred. 2 years related experience in Environmental or Haz Material required.
  • HAZ Material, Respirator, Confined Space, DOT Cert and RCRA compliance.
  • Valid driver's license is required

And if you have these skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to handle multiple duties simultaneously.  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge in Word, Access, Excel, basic function of computers, Outlook, and other software programs is needed

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $55,040 - $82,560. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
