As the Project Engineer II, here’s the work you’ll do:

  • Assist the Project Manager(s) during delivery of services required to accomplish project requirements in accordance with prime contract and D&Z M&H procedures.  Assists with establishment and communication of project baseline documents with the project team to include execution plan, scope or work, schedule, baseline estimate, and contract summary.  Assists project team in change management process for execution against the project baseline documents.
  • Develops and maintains professional working relationships with clients for the coordination/delivery of  services, specificantly engineering and design deliverables, schedule, cost, change management, quality and value.
  • Coordinate, direct, and complete project goals making detailed plans to facilitate the integration of technical activities such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, plumbing, fire protection and civil design for active design.
  • Develops and maintains professional working relationships with company management and support services groups such as Supply Chain, Construction, Finance, and Human Resources.
  • Participates in employee development and/or mentoring for assigned personnel.
  • Participate in business development proposal preparation with input to project management regarding capabilities and review of technical information pertinent to the project. Participates in presentations to prospective clients, follow-up discussions and negotiation.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of practical application of engineering science and technology as it applies to the design of building including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, building sciences, sustainability and plumbing systems.
  • Knowledge of design techniques and tools involved in the production of technical plans, drawings and computer models.
  • Estimating, scheduling, cost control, communications, working with a team of people
  • Knowledge of the rules and regulations hat govern a particular market segment such as Federal work, State Department work, Military or municipal work
  • Knowledge of project management tools including PERT charts and Gantt charts.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • BSc in Engineering
  • 5-10 Years experience
  • PMP Preferred
  • Professional Engineer license (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance required.
  • Great attitude and team player.
  • Successful completion of drug and background screening process.


In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $71,120-$106, 680. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).

  • Expertise in:
  • Ability to wear a mask, respirator, bullet proof vest, or other equipment.
  • Ability to regularly perform all job functions at Company’s office or worksite.
  • Ability to withstand environmental conditions (e.g. extreme heat or cold, grass, wind, sand, fumes, odors, gases, extreme noise, etc.)
