Question:
Are you a seasoned engineering leader passionate about production efficiency, safety, and quality? As our Engineering Manager, you’ll play a critical role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring on-time and within-budget project completion, and driving continuous improvement across production lines. This position is ideal for a hands-on problem solver with expertise in Lean Manufacturing, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production and Process Management: Oversee production flow, sustain and improve plant equipment, and implement cost-saving measures for both current and upcoming programs. Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Project and Budget Management: Lead projects from proposal to execution, establishing and maintaining budgets and schedules. Instill an “On-Time, Under-Budget” mindset within the team.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues, troubleshoot problems, and provide manufacturing engineering support.
- Personnel Management: Supervise team members, handle work assignments, provide performance evaluations, and make personnel decisions (e.g., promotions, disciplinary actions).
- Cost Analysis and Reporting: Conduct cost estimating, payback analysis, and risk assessments. Develop and maintain a structured reporting system to track project status, risks, and outcomes.
What You’ll Bring:
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing methods and techniques, time management, and the ability to develop cost-effective solutions for production line issues.
- Leadership and Development: Proven track record of employee development, team motivation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strong Communication Skills: Capable of producing technical documents and proposals, as well as establishing clear project timelines and reporting structures.
Skills and Experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, etc.); a Master’s degree (Production or Business Management, MBA) is a plus.
- Manufacturing Experience: 12+ years in manufacturing, with a preference for munitions experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.
- Additional Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret Clearance
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
- Background in DOE, ISO, and risk management is a plus

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $114,560 to $171,840. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
