As the Supplier Quality Engineering, here’s the work you’ll do:
- Lead all aspects of quality for AO procured part suppliers on assigned programs. Provide direct supplier on-site at supplier's facilities for Purchase Order execution. Conduct acceptance inspections, surveys, audits. Direct supplier in application of correct technical data. Develop, execute and complete First Article Test (FAT) plans and other contract required plans, data and reports, inspection equipment plan approval, SPC plans, other as needed. Support supplier to improve quality practices and procedures and production processes. Perform/support measurement system analysis. Resolve supplier issues.
- Help supplier develop timely responses for Purchase Order requirements. Manage all quality aspects of purchased components.
- Ensure that AO procured and customer and Government furnished material meets technical, contractual and Company requirements, that Failure Mode and Effects Analysis are completed in a timely manner and that risk ratings and improvements are documented and approved. Ensure that program Quality Management System functions (e.g. procedures, forms, and data collection techniques) are completed and approved prior to production start-up.
- Plan and lead all aspects of supplier quality work, including correctly applying Purchase Order, training, supporting customer-driven requirements to accomplish company goals, based on sound quality management theory and practice in all aspects of the quality program, processes and related performance metrics. Strong knowledge of industry recognized Quality and Business Management Systems, e.g. ISO-9001 or others.
- Interpret Drawings, Specifications and Contracts that will enable development and review of manufacturing processes and related performance metrics. Quality or Engineering experience in Requirements analysis and Munitions manufacturing. Demonstrate effective use of the corrective and preventive action process to analyze and resolve technical and process issues varying from basic to very complex. Test equipment hardware knowledge or background skills.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Math, Science or other technical field.
- 5 years relevant experience working with Government or Commercial Munitions suppliers in quality and audit related activities.
- American Society for Quality Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Auditor. Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification or strong statistical knowledge and experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance. Ability to travel.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- Great attitude and team player.
- Effective communication skills: Written, Oral, Listening, Presentation, Technical writing.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including Team building and Collaboration.
- Successful completion of background screening process.
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $75,120 to $112,680. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
