As the Operations Engineer II, here’s the work you’ll do:
- Perform engineering duties as assigned including process layouts, developing and updating procedures, safety enhancements, continuous improvement projects and competency in design for manufacturing.
- Address daily production related issues on shop floor.
- Research and design systems related to continuous improvement.
- Prepare and update operator procedures for shop floor.
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.
- Coordinate with external customers on shop floor related issues.
- Develop and maintain process layouts for existing or new processes and equipment.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to: compute rate, ratio and percent, draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple duties simultaneously. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Knowledge in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, AutoCAD or other 3D Drawing/Modeling software. Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to prepare well written procedures and technical reports.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
And if you have these qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field; prefer ME
- 2+ years of relevant Engineering experience
- Valid driver's license required.
- Government Secret Clearance may be required.
- Great attitude and team player.
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $72,720 - $109,080. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
