As the Mechanical Engineer, Operations 1, here’s the work you’ll do:
- Perform engineering duties as assigned including process layouts, developing and updating procedures and safety enhancements.
- Address daily production related issues on shop floor.
- Confer with engineers and other personnel to prepare and write operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain process layouts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; write routine correspondence; speak effectively before employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to: compute rate, ratio and percent, draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to contribute to problem solutions involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Knowledge in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD or other 3D Drawing/Modeling software.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to prepare procedures and technical reports with assistance.
And if you have these qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field; prefer Industrial Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
- 1 or more years of relevant Engineering experience, this can include internships.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Government Secret Clearance may be required.
- Great attitude and team player.
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $62,880 - $94,320. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
