As a Control's Technician 2, here' the work you'll do:
Position Summary
Leverages expertise in electronic and industrial technologies to test, troubleshoot, and modify automated control systems, including PLCs, to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and evaluate breakdowns as well as initiate modifications to equipment. Troubleshooting may include building test samples, error replication, and data collection/analysis. Works in close support with Engineers, quality or production personnel.
- Find and document solutions to better utilize existing equipment and tools to improve processes. Reduce downtime by identifying and resolving issues in the production process and equipment. Recommends design changes.
- Directs the work of maintenance personnel
KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Experienced in PLC programming and Microsoft Office Software.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and electrical prints. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of the organization.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with machinery and equipment. Knowledge and desire to troubleshoot and resolve issues with various complex machine types and systems.
- Ability with interfacing and integrating multiple systems and platforms in automated processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree from two year college or technical school in Industrial Technology or related field
- Length of Experience: 2+ year Technical experience
- Licenses/ Registrations: Must possess a valid REAL ID-compliant drivers license, which includes the gold or black star in the upper corner, indicating it is federally compliant.
- Other: Understand NEC, NFPA, NESC.
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $61,200 to $91,800. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements)
