Keep Production on Track as a Production Operator
As a vital member of the American Ordnance production team in Middletown, IA, the Production Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of production and ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met.
In this onsite full-time role, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assembling inert and explosive components into rounds or subassemblies, ensuring all items meet stringent safety and quality guidelines through thorough gauging, weighing, and examination.
- Physically maneuvering loaded carts and materials throughout the production area, efficiently transitioning items from storage to workstations or between various processing stations.
- Implementing established quality control protocols to visually inspect materials for imperfections, maintaining compliance with quality procedures by segregating any non-conforming products.
- Stenciling and packing completed items meticulously, preparing and loading them into transportation vehicles while diligently maintaining records of production activities.
- Actively participating in training initiatives and adhering to safety, health, and environmental protocols, fostering a culture of safety and responsibility among team members.
- Continuously identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and systems, aligning operations with customer requirements internally and externally.

- Proven ability to read, interpret, and adhere to critical documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals, ensuring operational compliance and safety measures are upheld.

Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Must possess a valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, which includes the gold or black star in the upper corner, indicating it is federally compliant.
- Neurological, respiratory, or other medical testing may be required.
- Forklift license may be required.
- Great attitude and team player.
- Successful completion of background screenings and physical assessments is mandatory to ensure a safe and trustworthy work environment.
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the wage for this role is $24.17/HR. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
