Job Description: 

We’re looking for a Maintenance Summer Intern to join our American Ordnance team located in Middletown, IA. The internship tasks will include light duty summer work throughout the installation assisting the Facilities/Utilities department with various tasks inside and outside.

 

As the Maintenance Summer Intern, here’s the work you’ll do:

  • Light duty maintenance activities.
  • Minor maintenance repairs to facilities and fencing.
  • Maintain vegetation control.
  • Painting of fire hydrants, PI valves, etc.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

 

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Knowledge of small equipment such as lawn mower, weedeater, paint/brushes.
  • Observes safety practices and procedures; uses equipment properly.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work with others collectively.

 

And if you have these qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Some mechanical/facility aptitude.
  • Great attitude and team player.
  • Successful completion of background and drug screening process.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $24.00/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
