Position Description

We’re looking for a full-time, staff  Senior Manager, Business Development to join our Mason & Hanger team

 

As a Senior Manager, Business Development here is the work you will do:

Drive the disciplined application of our business development processes. This position assists in developing and maintaining pursuit capture plans and works closely with pursuit champions, the proposal team and the Director, BD & Proposals to drive early pre-positioning and pursuit readiness efforts. This position will assist in supporting and mentoring the proposal team to initiate and facilitate go/no go decision making, analyze client requests, conduct kick-off meetings, develop a response plan, refine win themes, conduct in-progress reviews, participate in QA/QC reviews, support proposal closeout activities, and assist to ensure the timely submission of a compliant and highly competitive proposal. Responsibilities also include partnering with market leadership and the Director, BD & Proposals to maintain a real-time pipeline report/dashboard, track additional business development KPIs, manage and coordinate industry engagement (ie. organization memberships, conference logistics), and manage the development and maintenance of compelling qualification materials, including project descriptions, experience matrices/overviews, key statistics and rankings, capability statements, etc. This position will also support the execution of task order proposals during peak times.

This role is for you if you have experience with these skills and responsibilities:

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively across diverse teams and environments.
  • Ability to gather and translate win strategies into key themes and produce compelling marketing and business development documents utilizing benefits statements, graphics, and proofs.
  • Problem solving abilities and sound judgement to manage and execute winning proposals in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to positively engage employees at all level
  • Responsible for tracking business development and pipeline activities, optimizing business development processes, reinforcing pursuit team adherence to capture and proposal processes, and training and mentoring of pursuit team personnel.
  • Assist Director to Partner with Pursuit Champions to drive early pre-positioning and pursuit readiness efforts. Gather market intelligence for major clients/pursuits and translate data into key win themes for proposal efforts.
  • Development and maintenance of compelling qualification materials, including project descriptions, experience matrices/overviews, key statistics and rankings, capability statements, etc.
  • Execute task order proposals adhering to established pursuit processes from kickoff to closeout.

And these qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences - required
  • Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences - preferred
  • 12+ years, Inclusive of minimum of 10 years managing complex A/E/C proposal

 

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $107,200 - $160,800. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements)
