Job Summary

The Training & Engagement Lead leads user onboarding, training delivery, and ongoing engagement for the Publicly Available Information (PAI) Alerting Service Platform. The role translates product capabilities and operational use cases into scalable, role-based learning that drives user proficiency, adoption, and mission value across the Department of War enterprise. This position is contingent upon contract award. Training will be delivered virtually to the greatest extent practicable, with globally accessible session times and approved in-person support when requested by the Government.

 

This role can be hybrid in Reston, Northern VA, DC area. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the user enablement strategy for alerting technology platform, including role-based onboarding, curriculum design, learning objectives, and training schedules aligned with Government priorities and PWS requirements. 
  • Deliver live instructor-led User Training and Web Conference sessions for globally distributed users, supporting up to four sessions per week and no fewer than four per month when requested. Use virtual delivery to the greatest extent practicable and support approved in-person sessions. 
  • Develop, maintain, and quality-control self-service learning resources, including user guides, knowledge articles, how-to videos, recorded webinars, and a searchable ServiceNow training hub. Keep content current with platform changes and user needs. 
  • Drive ongoing customer engagement and product adoption by gathering user feedback, identifying proficiency gaps, and coordinating with the Program Manager, technical team, and Help Desk to improve the user experience and reduce repeat support needs. 
  • Track registrations, attendance, units supported, subjects covered, and training outcomes; provide accurate inputs for the Quarterly Status Report and other program reviews. Monitor performance against SS-1 and recommend continuous improvements. 

KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Expert knowledge of adult-learning principles, instructional design, role-based curriculum development, and methods for evaluating learning effectiveness.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills for live virtual and in-person training, including the ability to engage audiences across global time zones.
  • Ability to translate complex technical and intelligence concepts - including PAI/OSINT, alerting, geospatial interfaces, filters, mission profiles, and notification settings - into clear, task-based instruction.
  • Proficiency with web-conference and webinar platforms, ServiceNow knowledge management, video-authoring tools, and digital learning content development.
  • Strong customer engagement, stakeholder coordination, data tracking, and reporting skills, with the ability to use feedback and performance metrics to improve adoption and reduce support demand.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in instructional design, education, communications, training and development, intelligence studies, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in technical or product training, instructional design, customer enablement, or user engagement, including at least 3 years leading training programs for enterprise software, federal, defense, or intelligence users. Required

 

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $100,600 - $160,400. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
