Position Description
We’re looking for a full-time, staff Estimating Manager to join our Day & Zimmermann team. This position is eligible to work remote.
This position has supervisory/lead or manager responsibility over a group of estimators or functions as a technical specialist. Individuals with supervisory/lead or manager responsibility provide technical direction over a group and may be responsible for employee performance appraisals. The department manager is the individual in the business unit who has sole responsibility for all estimating policies, processes, and procedures.
As the Estimating Manager, here’s the work you’ll do:
• Provide support and guidance for all Estimating personnel
• Interface with the Executive Management team to ensure the required deliverables are being met
• Support the placement of field estimators
• Develop and maintain estimating processes and procedures as required.
• Periodic audits of processes to ensure contractual and procedural compliance
• Participate in Project Support Teams as required
This role is for you if you have these skills:
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional management, organizational and supervisory skills
• Detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel, Win Estimator and knowledge of Unit Rate Estimating
And if you have these qualifications:
• Some college or post secondary education preferred or minimum of ten plus years related experience in a construction environment
• Ten plus years experience in related estimating assignments
• Computer proficiency certifications a plus or equivalent education
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $124,080 - $186,120. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
