Job Summary
Day & Zimmermann Canada currently has a temporary, maternity leave opportunity in the position of HR Coordinator & Recruiter.

Responsibilities
• Executes full life cycle recruitment with moderate/minimal guidance. Sourcing/identifying leads, review resumes to ensure qualifications of role are met, conduct interviews, and recommends placement of qualified candidates for administrative, professional, and/or technical staff positions from internal and external sources.
• Develops strategic working relationships with placement agencies, colleges, technical schools, and job fair hosts to enhance the company brand while capitalizing on fulfilling company opportunities
• Performs all activities in support of recruitment, hiring, new hire orientation, compensation, benefits, performance management, transfers, promotions, and terminations.Manages and responds to routine correspondence and inquiries from employees and managers.
• Maintains positive working relationships with all levels of company staff and management for assigned areas.
• Adhere to HR and governing regulations when recruiting, with specific compliance towards barrier free recruitment, accommodations, diversity, and protected groups.
• Interprets Human Resources policies and federal/provincial regulations related to employment practices. Provides guidance (or escalates issues to Senior HR) as appropriate. Assists HR Manager in creating new policies or revising current for legislative compliance while meeting operational needs.
• Conducts HR training and/or assists in the implementation of human resources initiatives or projects, i.e., Supervisor Training, New hire orientation, etc.
• Assists with other HR special projects or assignments as needed
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business or related field
• 1-3+ years of experience in Human Resoures, with a diverse experience across areas of HR
• Solid understanding of ESA, AODA, and provincial specific employment related laws/legislation.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills. Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• SAP experience preferred
• Success Factors experience preferred
• CHRP preferred
